Buddhist concept of 'non-self' - the teaching that there is no permanent, unchanging self or soul.

dependent origination

Buddhist concept that all phenomena arise in dependence upon conditions. Nothing exists independently.

epistemology

The branch of philosophy concerned with knowledge - what it is, how we acquire it, and the limits of what we can know.

io_uring

Linux kernel interface for asynchronous I/O. Provides a submission queue and completion queue for efficient batched operations.

ontology

The philosophical study of being, existence, and reality. In CS, often refers to a formal representation of knowledge as a set of concepts.

qualia

The subjective, conscious experiences - the 'what it is like' aspect of mental states. The redness of red, the pain of pain.
